Produced by the Carl Scheidig porcelain factory in Grafenthal, Germany, this mid-century piece is identified as model 7319. Each cat has been individually modelled and hand-painted with expressive faces, striped coats and beautifully observed movement.
The soft grey, black and white palette makes it easy to style, while the slightly chaotic pile of kittens gives it exactly the right amount of personality.
A lovely find for collectors of German porcelain, vintage animal figures or cats behaving badly.
