Refund policy

At Fawne, we want you to feel confident when choosing something special for your space, wardrobe, or collection. We take care to photograph and describe each item as accurately as possible.

This policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Returns

We offer 30-day returns from the date your order is delivered.

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • be unused and in original condition
  • include original packaging and tags where applicable
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase or order confirmation

Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions for returning your item.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • the item(s) you wish to return
  • photographs if the item is damaged or incorrect

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery provided items meet the eligibility conditions outlined above.

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us as soon as possible if:

  • your item arrives damaged
  • your item is faulty
  • you receive the wrong item
  • the item significantly differs from its description

Where required under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide a repair, replacement, or refund.

For damaged parcels, we may request photographs of:

  • the product
  • packaging
  • shipping label

This helps us follow up with our delivery providers.

Vintage & One-of-a-Kind Items

Many Fawne pieces are vintage, handmade, or individually sourced and may display signs of age, craftsmanship, or character.

These may include:

  • gentle surface wear - especially to bases 
  • patina or finish variation
  • small bubbles, marks, or irregularities in glass or ceramics
  • subtle colour variation

These characteristics form part of the item description and are not considered faults.

We encourage customers to review all product photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you would like additional information or photographs prior to purchase, please contact us.

Due to the fragile and one-of-a-kind nature of vintage items, we do not accept change-of-mind returns for vintage or individually sourced pieces.

However, this does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If a vintage item arrives damaged, faulty, or significantly different from its description, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can assist.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned for change-of-mind reasons unless required under Australian Consumer Law:

    • vintage or one-of-a-kind items
    • personalised or custom-made items
    • gift cards
    • perishable goods
    • personal care or beauty products that have been opened or used
    • hazardous materials or flammable goods
    • final sale or clearance items

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges through our online store.

If you would like a different item, we recommend placing a new order once your approved return has been processed.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 2 business days.

Depending on your bank or payment provider, funds may take additional time to appear in your account.

For purchases made using buy now, pay later services, processing times may vary and can take up to 14 days to appear.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Products sold by Fawne come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
